ReplyDeleteI have never taken a drawing class. Considering my experience I feel I did well. I was not surprised with the outcome because I knew it would be bad. I did enjoy watching the video and trying to copy his work. The advantage of putting their work on the web is that everybody can see it and these people teach other how to draw things. Yes I have used other videos to help me with problems. I mostly use YouTube to find videos. If the teacher taped videos for our lesion we would not get the one on one experiences and help from the teacher.

Yes when I don’t know how to do something and either does anyone else I look it up on YouTube.

If I look for a video online I use YouTube.

I wouldn’t like learning about a subject that way because if you have a question they didn’t answer or go over you wouldn’t know how to do it.

ReplyDeleteI have taken an art class this year with Mrs. Green, but it was not just drawing.

I feel as if I did well, for a fair lack of experience.
-Were you surprised at the outcome of your drawing?
I was, and was not, I was because it turned out okay, but I was not because I have had to draw from a tutorial before, too.
-Did you enjoy watching the video and trying your hand at drawing?
The video was kind of dry, but learning capable, and watching it while drawing was the best part of it.
-What advantages are there for people to share their knowledge on the web?
Advantages to people sharing their knowledge is that if someone’s talent and capability is put online, then anyone that watches that video can then learn from them.

I have, I have used tutorials for my hair before.

I find mine on YouTube; always.

• No I thought the video was a little boring but I did like trying my hand at drawing
• The advantages for people sharing their knowledge on the web are many more people on the web will know more and it has access to more knowledge.
• I’ve used videos like how to braid or curl my hair and these like that.
• My main source is YouTube
• It wouldn’t be terrible but I would prefer to be there learning in person.

ReplyDeleteI have never taken a class in drawing or any other form of art except the required course in elementary school.
Considering your level of experience how do you feel you did?
With my level of experience put into consideration I believe I did a very nice job creating the drawing besides some minor mistakes such as the head shape and eye placement.
Were you surprised at the outcome of your drawing?
I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome of my drawing; I honestly thought it was going to turn out much worse than it actually did.
Did you enjoy watching the video and trying your hand at drawing?
I really enjoyed watching the video and trying my hand drawing because the guy who made the video did a very nice job explaining it so it was easy for me to keep up and prepare the drawing. I usually don’t draw much so it was a fun change of pace.
What advantages are there for people to share their knowledge on the web?
The advantages there for people to share their knowledge on the web include it being easy and free, they get constructive criticism and they get to talk about and/or demonstrate something they are very comfortable with.

I have used other videos on the web to learn how to do things and a specific example is how to make a duct tape wallet and I couldn’t do it at all even after watching multiple tutorials.

ReplyDelete2. Considering my level of experience, I think I did fair. I was surprised at how my drawing came out. The hair could’ve been more voluminous, but I liked what I had put down.
3. I really enjoyed watching the video. I love drawing, although I don’t think I’m incredibly good at it. Drawing is relaxing, and I like the process, wondering whether what you put down will be an amazing work of art or a pathetic interpretation.
4. There are multiple advantages for people to post their work and share their know-how. You can post tutorials or gallery videos on YouTube, or you can go on to DeviantArt and post your work on there, and you can get feedback and comments.
5. Yes I have watched tutorials before. I learned how to potentially unlock your car with a split tennis ball. Many other things too, but I just can’t remember them.
6. I’ve gone to YouTube. That’s basically it.

Yes i was very surprised.
I enjoyed the video and seeing how I would do.
The advantage is people who are experienced in a topic share the info for people like me.
I have used many videos to learn how to do things and they really help.
I find most of them on YouTube.
Although I like the videos I would rather have a teacher. Unless I could be at home than I would ; like the videos.

3. I was surprised I thought it would be better because I did have the guide but I am glad the way it turned out.

Yes, I look tutorials on YouTube.

I don't think I would like that. It would be boring.

- It allows you to learn different things that you would not learn any where else, and it allows you to interact with people who have done the same thing.

- Yes, I use videos to learn how to do tons of things.

- I think that would be a bad idea because the student would not receive on on one attention.

5.Advantages are that people can learn from things you put on the web.

7.I usually find them on YouTube.
8.It would make it easier for kids to learn, because is they miss something they can rewind and go back to see what they missed or didn’t understand.

ReplyDelete2. I felt like I did an ok job, some proportions were off such as the chin mouth and hair.
3. I was surprised with the outcome because I have never drawn a magna face before.
4. Yes, it was very enjoyable to watch and try to match the artist’s work.
5. It is quick and easy to share knowledge to other people and it is fun.
6. Yes I have, such as how to play a song on the piano, how to tie a tie, etc.
7. Search what you want with the key word ‘Tutorial’
8. I think that could be very helpful to students who were absent or if the student needs to hear the lecture again.

No I have not ever taken a class in drawing.
2. Considering your level of experience how do you feel you did?
I do not think I did very well on my drawing, I do like to draw but not realistic figures.
3. Were you surprised at the outcome of your drawing?
Yes I was surprised, I thought that my drawing would look a lot worse.
4. Did you enjoy watching the video and trying your hand at drawing?
Yes I did enjoy the video and the drawing but not the finish product of my work .
5. What advantages are there for people to share their knowledge on the web?
When sharing your knowledge ion the web you are able to help more people who want to learn the same skill you have, they then have better opportunities to gain that trait or skill if you share it on the web.
6. Have you used other videos on the web to learn how to do things?
Yes I have, I enjoy making and decorating cakes, and if there is a type of skill needed for that part I look online to see if I can find out how to make it.

I look for my internet videos on YouTube.
8. How would you feel about teacher videotaping lectures and learning that way?
I think that teacher videotaping would be a good idea, for some classes. Like online experience class because you show us what we are doing or how to do it on the monitor . But with our math classes I think it would still be better if the teacher actually got up in front of the class and showed us step by step.
9. Share other thoughts you have regarding online tutorials .
Yes I do think that online tutorials are a great idea you can reach out and teaching other people from different places in the world, but I learn BEST with a teacher physically there showing you how to do something.
